Benn picked up 28 wickets in five Tests at an average of 25.03 between October 2013 and September 2014 – the period of consideration for these awards.Kraigg Brathwaite was awarded the Test Player of the Year, while Test captain Denesh Ramdin was named ODI Player of the Year. Brathwaite scored 593 runs in the five Tests that were played during this period at an average of 74.12, which included a 129 against New Zealand and a double-century against Bangladesh.
