How to Climb SV News Building in Skate
The SV News building is located in Skate‘s Gullcrest Village neighborhood, and challenges can appear on top of it. To start those challenges, players must climb the SV News building, though the way that is done may not be immediately obvious. This guide is intended for players who are confused about how to get onto the SV News building in Skate, and, fortunately, the process is fairly straightforward.
Players can eventually unlock a fast travel point on top of the SV News building, which will make it so that they do not need to climb the structure every time they want to take on a Skate challenge that appears there.
How to Get Onto SV News Building in Skate
Corners Are the Key
The first step towards climbing the SV News building is navigating to one of its four corners. While it is possible to start the ascent from any of the building’s corners, the southern and eastern corners are the easiest to access, and their precise positions have been marked on the preceding map.
Upon arriving at one of these positions, players will see that there are three horizontal lines etched into the corner. Skate players should approach those lines, press the climb input to grab one, and then hold up on the left joystick while repeatedly pressing the climb input to ascend to the protruding ledge.
The climb input is the X button on a PlayStation controller and the A button on an Xbox controller.
Players should now hold either left or right on the left joystick to shimmy along the ledge, stopping when they are underneath a window. Players can then hold up on the left joystick and repeatedly press the climb input once again to make their way up another wall. At the top, players will encounter one more wall, which they climb by holding up on the left joystick and the climb input, and the SV News buildings’ fast travel point and challenges are on top of it.
To note, players who have reached the top of the building can climb its tower by moving up the handholds that are between its windows. Some players may even want to go all the way to the top, and the preceding image highlights the handholds that they should be targeting. While players may not find any challenges at the top, there is a fast travel point there, and it is a great spot to spread eagle from.
